Four years ago, Ken Sinchar rolled up to the drive-through window in North Huntingdon, expecting Ronald McDonald. But it was Cupid who opened that little glass door. "I didn't used to go for fast food, but I looked at that woman in the window, and wow! I came back every lunchtime after that, day after day," the smitten floor installer said.
"There was something special about him," Lori Sherbondy, of North Huntingdon, said. "I worked at the drive-through for eight years, and he's the only man I ever flirted with. It got to where everyone in the store knew when it was 12:15, when my Hamburger Happy Meal Man was coming through."
Sinchar, also of North Huntingdon, said he didn't come for the food. "I came to see that blue-eyed brunette named Lori," he said. "I told my buddies in the car she was the one for me."
At 8 last night the drive-through at the McDonald's restaurant on U.S. Route 30 in North Huntingdon closed for 30 minutes so Lori, 42, and Ken, 38, could tie the knot in that very spot. The bride took her usual position at the window, the bridegroom drove up in his van and White Oak District Judge Thomas Miller, standing by the van, did the honors. ¶ 9:45 PM
